Enjoy the comfort of snowmobiling from your door, getting fuel one block North, and getting on the trails one block south of us. No need to trailer your sleds from place to place, the trails here will get you to the Mackinaw Bridge if that's your desire.
Ski Crystal Mountain all day and come back for some of the best food around at Hofbrau or Boones for dinner.
There is nothing like good ice fishing and we have it! Come check out Green, Duck, or Long Lakes, just to name a few, for your limit. We get great ice on all the lakes, and the lakes have great reputations of having great fish.
For those of you that just like to look at how beautiful Northern Michigan is in the winter don't forget that we are situated in the middle of 3 enticing casinos. To the South is Little River Casino. To the North are Leelanau Sands Casino and Turtle Creek Casino. Come try your luck.

Winter Wonderland
It's going to be a great winter season, with plenty to do. Visit the Interlochen Arts Academy, Snowshoeing or crosscountry skiing at the state park or one of the many trails close by, snowmobiling from your door(with a new trail that keeps you off the main road), ice fishing at Duck, Green or Long Lakes, downhill ski or crosscountry skiing at Crystal Mountain, or go on a winter wine tasting spree.

Barry and I would like to welcome Terry and Elaine as our new onsite managers. Terry and Elaine come to us from Grayling. Terry likes to fish and hunt and Elaine enjoys cooking and drawing...she's very talented. They also have a little toy poodle named Bo that they dote on. Terry and Elaine will be manning the office and taking good care of you. Barry and I will still be a very big part of The Interlochen Motel - you will see our smiling faces often, especially mine. But as our kids are getting older, we are getting more involved with all the things they are involved in. They are the best kids and they have been so patient and understanding while we have been running the Motel, it is their turn to get our full attention. We are entrusting Terry and Elaine to keep things running smoothly and we communicate openly with each other daily. So if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to drop an e-mail and let us know. We are confident they will do a great job because they are excited to be a part of what we call "home" in our little slice of heaven.
